Bonjour!
Just a quick hello to the forum from a new member and also new member of the ASOC.
We are taking delivery of out Pollensa at the end of this month after 11 years of a VW camper. We are very much looking forward to our time in what will be palacial luxury by comparison
Being an engineer I'm sure I'll have plenty of work arounds with any van issues!
Mark & Maryann.
Sunny Berkshire.

Re: Bonjour!
Welcome from a warm and sunny Alicante where I am enjoying my "digestif"!
I wouldn't bang on about being an Engineer too much.
It took "Engineers" five years to design and build the "unsinkable" RMS Titanic - and it only took us Operators three weeks to sink it!!
I am also under the impression that Engineers designed and built the MV Costa Concordia!
Best regards,

Hi Bonjour, Welcome to the Forum from Costa del Rustington. They were selling T Shirts in Belfast during all the hype about the Titanic, with"She was all right, when she left us"!!!! printed on them.

Re: Bonjour!
Andy,
Within 12 hours of the MV Costa Concordia hitting the rocks one of my ex-Merchant Navy mates sent me the following text.
Man telephones the local Airfix shop.
"Do you have any models of an Italian cruise liner?" he asks.
"Yes sir." said the shop owner "We have just the one here in stock."
"Could you put it on one side for me please?" said the man?
I loved the Skipper's initial statement that the charts were "wrong" and that he thought he would miss them by 150 metres! I sail a tiny Drascombe Dabber that draws one metre and I wouldn't take her at speed within 150 metres of an underwater hazard - and there's only me to worry about!
Oh! What about the "former female crew member" who happened to be on the Bridge when all this happened; and who is defending the Skipper in statements to the media?? I would bet good money that if there is a "Mrs. Skipper" out there then maybe jail is the safest place for the Skipper to be!!
Best regards - and sorry for hijacking your "Welcome" Mr. Engineer.
