hello!
Hi!
I'm the very proud owner of a VW Gatcombe Y reg....not stayed overnight in her yet.....its all a big learning curve!
I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether adults are able to safely sleep in the overhead bit, or is it for children and luggage only??? I dont want to damage my new baby!! :

Welcome from Paul and Carol in North Wales There's a lot of monocoque owners on here, I'm sure one will be along shortly to answer your question.

Re: hello!
A monocoque is the type of body you've got on your Gatcombe - a one-piece body without seams between roof and sides, much less prone to leaks than most coachbuilts.

Re: hello!
Welcome to the forum, not that far from you.
The luton is not suitable for adult sleeping in any of the monocoque shells, particularly the smaller ones like the Gatcombe, and Clubman models, unless you have a very small frame
The lutons do give you good storage space though.

Hi Boogie
Welcome to ASOF I think you will get more positive and friendly feedback here than you did on the MHF site.
As you have no doubt found out, there is a section dedicated to monocoques where you will probably get plenty of info' from other owners.
Cheers John.
