Stanton...Roof aerial snapped...
Oh dear, just snapped off the roof aerial while wiping the top over...hardly touched it...it snapped off at the mount, breaking the plastic body the mast screws in to.
Anyone know if replacement would be an easy task? Guessing the roof lining has to come down?

A call to Mark at Willersey might help you find a replacement ? 01386853511big'nuf wrote:Oh dear, just snapped off the roof aerial while wiping the top over...hardly touched it...it snapped off at the mount, breaking the plastic body the mast screws in to.

Thank you Boaby, but looking at the job entailed, it appears a massive job so may just forget it....

The power and RF leads to the aerial pass across the top of the cab interior light, there will be a joint in the RF cable. You can get an aerial designed to stick on the windscreen and get it in over the cab interior light.
It wont be as good as the original aerial but a lot better than ripping the van apart.

To do the job properly there is a lot of furniture and fittings that has to be undone - it will cost you circa £250+ to have it done at the A/S service center - but at least you will know it's been done properly.
We had the A/S SC replace the MB whip aerial with a dedicated shark fin DAB antenna which has much improved the radio reception!
