Hello from Lincolnshire.
I joined the forum some months whilst researching "What Motorhome" to buy and was most impressed by the prompt and informed responses that were forthcoming.
Having now bought an AutoSleeper I feel I should say Hello!
We looked seriously at 3 units: Boxer Symphony; Boxer Executive and a Ford Duetto (Automatic).
Our main criteria were:
That ruled out quite a lot of vans!
The Symphony was local, very tidy and had dual-fuel but eventually ruled out because of technical and other issues.
We then started looking further afield and ended up with a day in N. Yorks and Newcastle to try an Executive and a Duetto.
The Executive was immaculate and very spacious but when viewed up close I decided that it might be a bit of a handful in a stiff breeze.
On then to the Duetto, north of Newcastle. Not quite as tidy as the other two but really sound underneath and only very minor tinworm on rear doors. Inside needs a bit of TLC but the general shape, the auto transmission and the (reputedly) cheaper Ford spares clinched the deal.
Drove it down to home the other day. Handled OK in the cross winds and returned 30 mpg full to full.
It lacks solar charging and inverter so I shall shortly be scouring the forum columns for advice!
Regards to all.
Pete.

We looked seriously at 3 units: Boxer Symphony; Boxer Executive and a Ford Duetto (Automatic).
Our main criteria were:
- As few seams as possible.
- Moderate size commensurate with reasonable space
- No excessive overhangs.
- No excessive top-hamper.
That ruled out quite a lot of vans!
