Mine goes for its first Hab check on 19th of this month.

I will get them to check the likelihood of it happening on mine.

I'm at the factory for two days later this month, I'll try and ask Mark what is going on

Roger- sorry to hear about your problem with a fairly recent van, hopefully they will sort it out but sticking a wedge in the roof is not good engineering; due to body flex it may sooner or later move out of place.

The fix-it job I did is still good and we have been over some ROUGH terrain since I completed the job. Apologies for not reporting back sooner.

Dennis- isn't it amazing how things can stick when you don't want them to, yet when you do they simply refuse? Sod's Law, or something.  scratch head

Anyone know how the swing  wall his removed  and fitted ?. How about making a spacer cut in half to fit on, then  super gluing  another spacer on top with joints at 90 degrees to form a solid spacer  .

Pete
Thanks for your reply, the wedges are placed equidistant below the wall and hold it firmly in place. No movement as yet. It's only temporary.

Just reading these threads 12 months later - I am wondering if the floor had dropped.  Having just found a significant leak from one of the 6 pushfit connectors under the loo on my Broadway, I wonder if your floor had delaminated  as a result of an equivalent (freshwater) leak, leading to the drop of the shower tray?
But I suppose that this possibility was eliminated from the lines of enquiry.

Suni- that’s, imho, the way it has to be. OK on a new van these roof wedges, whatever, may slip but gravity is the major force in all of our lives. Having crawled around under the van I’m less than impressed by the flooring material and it’s protection from all the road can throw at it. Any dampness getting into that material, either by leaking plumbing, or from road spray is going to affect the structural integrity, result- deformation of the floor and, in the words of the song (not) the only way is down.

Forget to say; my 4th habitation check is due, I’m going to insist on watching the under-floor checks; not sure exactly what the warranty situation is in this respect- any ideas folks?

Your van was built during a short period of time when a faulty batch of whale push fit connectors were supplied to AS. Most of these were found and replaced by AS very quickly. You are unfortunate that yours wasn't spotted during the warranty period.

Hi, and thanx, Peter.
I am currently drying out the floor under the loo. Doing it slowly and finding that damp is coming to the surface bit by bit.
The van is now "SORN'd for a bit so I am in no particular hurry to replace the loo which will stop airflow.
