Complete Newbies
Hi to everyone,
We have never owned a caravan, motorhome or van before (done plenty of camping) and with the children now looking after themselves and thinking about it for a couple of years last November we bit the bullet and purchased a 2000 W plate Autosleeper T4 Topaz.
We went away for a couple of nights in early November to Cheddar and really enjoyed it (34mpg well impressed) I then put her away for the winter.
In the last couple of weeks we have washed, cleaned and polished her inside and out to how we want her. I then added some shelves and we even did some modding after discovering that the black plastic on the rear side windows was coming away due to the plywood rotting out behind it. I saw a thread where a Topaz owner had taken the vinyl route, I was impressed with the pictures he added and was soon off to find a man that could do the job, very pleased with the result even had the rear window done as well because the internal black was being pulled off by some tape that had been stuck to the window when it was converted.
Tomorrow we will be re-hanging the curtains and getting packed up ready for the off on Thursday morning, going round the North Norfolk coast for three nights , will be trying a Brit Stop as well
Steve & Jo with Teddy our little dog and Talulah - Lulah for short, the van

Would you mind not changing the text colour. Admin asks that the standard text is used in ordinary postings. Also avoid bold text whilst you haven't used bold one of our regulars seems to think he doesn't count

Hi Jo, Steve, Teddy and of course Lulah and a big welcome to the forum from Filey.
Sounds like you are really getting sorted and just in time for another great camping season. Enjoy
