Re: Chapter 2
Sounds like you used to own some interesting bikes Jude, and anything but old and needy!
I also own a tiny Di Blasi folding moped that fits in a bag. Not very sexy, but handy to nip out on for croissants when the MH is parked up. Mind you, I won't be seen on it without a dark visor..
Yes, you'll find it's a friendly informative forum here, different views yes, but so far it's never come to blows..

I can see why you keep the visor on!
but a great little run about, I havent got one of my bicycle complete with dog in a basket but will get someone to take one.
Yes, husband was a keen biker, I sold a velocette, B33, ad my Harey Sportster. Me on my Harley, taken some years ago and my Alfa Romeo on fire at the scene of the accident.

Re: Chapter 2
Welcome to the site, seems like you fit in well with these mad bikers on here. Seems also to that if you are not a biker, then you are likely to have a connection with boating in its various forms on Motorhome forums.
Bikeralw. Curious about the road sign behind your bike. I can understand most of the meanings, but I was unsure about the two that look like silhouettes of a town? One with 50 and the other with 90 (barred), can you explain them please?
Thanks,
Davy

Hello & welcome from S/Yorks.
I too, am an 'old' biker, an original 'rocker' the Ace was my local, a member of the 59 club & had the distinction of being thrown out of Brighton in the 60s!!
Still got a few old classics & some modern ones.

Re: Chapter 2
Well modelman, as you mention, Brighton in the 60s brings back memories. Owned a Vespa SS 180 so was the opposition to you 'rockerboys'. Recall much police 'activity' at the time to keep opposing 'sides' apart. Personally questioned by the 'law' along the seafront regarding theft of a road sign that had mysteriously found it's self tied to the scooter. Fortunately no further action taken. After a fracas a week earlier, large police presence blockaded our entry to Hayling Island. All seemed a very long time ago.
