Caravan Club now Caravan and Motorhome Club
The Caravan Club has just rebranded itself as Caravan and Motorhome Club.
Full details on their website.
Whether this will see a change to inappropriate pitching rules and the introduction of motorhome service points that are actually usable remains to be seen.
Sorry if I appear cynical!
cheers
Roger

A good idea. If you look at some of their photos in ads, books etc there is more often a motorhome on

How about a petition for all CMhC sites to have Gridded M/h drains instead of the, very arthritic unfriendly, covered ones at present??
(Never up to now had any problems with the way round we park.)
frederic
found new E mail address for your praise or otherwise ref. re branding

Re: Caravan Club now Caravan and Motorhome Club
The last update from them about the late book was that a lot of updates had happened and they wanted the book to be as up to date as possible, presumably this was due to the rebranding rather than any updating of sites or facilities.burlingtonboaby wrote:Still waiting for the 2017/8 site book

If you are on Facebook, look at the comments on the Practical Caravans announcement of the rebranding - lots of bitching comments by caravanners, some don't like us.

Agreed plus they need them to run the grid right across the service point to cater for drain valves on either side, so you don't need to park facing the wrong way, bearing in mind some of the service points are within a one-way system.
cheers

That applies to water taps as well as drain points.I often find the tap is on the wrong side that's why I tend to fill a wheeled container and then transfer it when on a pitch.

Which is exactly what they have just finished installing at the Broadway site and are rolling out over the whole network, I used it last week. E-mail addresses are changed to @CAMC.com but old ones will work for a while.

Got our info mailing from the CAMC which included two window stickers.
Must admit we are totally underwhelmed.

I used one of the new type at Brecon last year, very much easier to use, and no MH lid to remove.Peter Brown wrote:\"rogerblack wrote:

Thanks for the offer but I'll give 'em hell at the NEC on Saturday (if I can near their stand for the queue of members complaining about the name change).rogerblack wrote:Paulmold wrote:Got letter this morning telling us of the new name but no window stickers.

How much has that lot cost us members?
What a waste of time and money.

They rebranded the magazine for February - another rebranding fo March.
Wow - our £50 for life membership in the 70's was good value!

My wife reckons it should be named "The Caravan, Motorhome, Motorcaravan, Camper, Campervan, Recreational Vehicle and Trailer Tent Club" so that nobody feels left out - I hope that I haven't left anybody's vehicle out!
