Newbies from Nottinghamshire
Hi all,
We have been caravaners since the late 1970's until 2006 when we took to cruising the 7 seas. Then in 2014 we were passing a motorhome dealer and were drawn in. Had a look at a few but kept returning to a 2004 Talisman which suited our budget. 70,000 miles on the clock and very tired looking upholstery but she just felt right. So we bought her and have never looked back.
Manage to get away at least once a month all year round. A couple of months ago we treated her to new upholstery and some time this year she will celebrate her 100,000 miles birthday!!

Hi Jan & Rob
Welcome to the forum from Bridlington, may I ask what upholsterer did you use and would you recommend them?

I used reluxe.com/ (Ilkeston, Derbyshire)(As a newbie I'm not allowed to add external links at the moment.....understandable being a phpbb admin myself, just add the www). They did an excellent job, new foam throughout, re-upholstering the cab seats, all removable panels and bedding/seating cushions.burlingtonboaby wrote:........ may I ask what upholsterer did you use and would you recommend them?

Had to omit fixed panelling and curtains and the job came in at about £1800. It took 2 days to complete (contrary to what they say on the website). The only minus side is the website which has a 'request a quote' link, I got no reply......best to phone and ask for Gemma (MD's wife) who is so down to earth (very!) and extremely helpful.
I do have 2 very, very minor issues which they will sort.
Yes, I highly recommend them but (if anyone does use their services) do check that all those little subsidiary blocks which make up the beds are correct, mine are a bit oversize. I'm fortunate that I live close by.
