cab seat covers (again)
Hi There, I read Joy's post and replies on this topic but my query is a bit different. I'd like to know if there is anywhere that can supply front seat covers in a fabric/pattern matching the original upholstery in our 2004 Nuevo. Does anyone know who makes the fabrics? I can get simple standard covers from Halfords etc. but we've just bought the Nuevo and it's our pride and joy so we want to protect the seats, especially the drivers seat which is beginning to show a bit of wear.

I believe a lot of AS fabrics were supplied by Regal Furnishings, might be worth contacting them

Paul is correct it should be Regal. Have a look for a label somewhere on the habitation area seats to confirm. They will supply direct

The matching scatter cushions we ordered recently through Auto-Sleepers came back with the name "Premier Furnishings Ltd" stitched into each label, from what I can gather these are also based in llkeston, Derbyshire so wonder if these are the same company but operate under different names maybe?

They are not the same company, but they also do a lot of work for Auto-Sleepers. We recently had our Ravenna reupholstered by them, they used an Auto-Sleepers fabric and did a superb job and I can vouch for their service. Whether they can or would make seat covers I do not know, they did re-cover our cab seats however.

Re: cab seat covers (again)
We get our new Autosleepers Worcester in May but for the last six years have protected the front seats of our current Autocruise with heated seat pads available quite cheaply on line from many places. They give a little extra padding (aside from being lovely in the cold weather!) and our seats are still in perfect condition!

mapron - What did you do in the end? Would be interested to know if you came up with a solution.

Re: cab seat covers (again)
We tried the suppliers above but the cost was way too high and the material was not the same pattern so we ruled this out. We then decided to have covers made by local uphosterers in plain blue, like the scatter cushions. We got quotes and could get this done for about £50 to £60 which was ok. But - they never followed through and we ended up buying standard commercial seat covers (grey) on 'special' in Aldi and just using the seat part, not the backrest. Not an ideal solution but in the end we moved on.

It is a tough one I think I will start a company making these things. We have been using the heated seat pads as mentioned above but our new van has proper heated seats so a bit pointless putting a pad over them. I might approach Autosleepers and see if we can get a spare set of covers then when the current ones do wear or get dirty we can replace them. In the meantime will keep looking into other options. Thanks

So I did approach Autosleepers and they are around £350 + VAT.... may be worth it but a lot of money.
Meanwhile I am now working on 2" memory foam seat covers which come in several different shaded covers and simply sit on the squab and up the back of the front seats. In discussion with the manufacturer ....should be possible to get them standard fit for boxer/ducato/sprinter etc so full details and cost soon

This was one of the versions I got a quote for from a local upholsterer, ie. 2'' memory foam seat cover (but not up the back).
I was quoted about £50 for a pair, which was fine, but then he said he was having a problem with his memory foam supplier and we waited, and waited.

Went to Homebase today and bought a pair of cream reclining chair cushions, I thought they would not look right but so agreed to take them back if not, guess what they fit the Sprinter near perfectly and the colour match is great. Cost £42 the pair
I tried three manufacturers to get some covers made up, one was too busy with other work ( ever heard of expansion Guys) and the other two never bothered to reply - What a Nation of entrepreneurs we are.
