We're going in the C&CC section too. Looking forward to it as we haven't been to this one before.
I'll have Flintshire and Westmorland flags flying.
I do have to come clean, though, we don't have an Autosleeper any more. Hope I'm not going to get chucked off this site now.

We are not going to this show Nora but I'm curious as to where you got a Flintshire flag. I can only find 5' x 3' ones which are a bit big to fly from the usual poles used on sites/shows.

Re: country and western
I'm afraid it is 5 x 3 Paul, so is the Westmorland one. My pole isn't big enough so I'm going to be looking for a new one at the show.
I've also got a Welsh one and an Essex one but I can't put them all up!!!
I got the Flintshire flag from eBay, only about £3.99 or something. I couldn't see any in Mold market. There's also a Facebook page where they might know where you can get a smaller one.

Re: country and western
Thanks Nora. I would think 3x2 is would be a useful size, wonder why no-one does that size.
Enjoy the show.
Enjoy the show.

I would have preferred 3 x 2 but, hey, it's enough to have found a Flintshire flag! :-)
Thanks, I'm sure we'll enjoy it - weather permitting! I'm hoping to get a bit of line dancing in.

My friends, caravan owners, have told me they are off to the Malvern site next week, for a break. Wonder what could be taking them down that way

Re: country and western
Advice please. Travelling from Cheshire to Malvern show this coming week.
Is the turn off for the show site before Strensham services ---- or after Strensham.
We need to meet up with others and thinking Strensham may be ideal place

Travelling South on the M5 it's after, then on to the M50 then off at the first junction.

Make sure you're in the inside lane before Strensham as the M50 junction is immediately after. Unless you're a boy racer.

I don't think it does Mikey.
I presume you want to meet up so you can enter the show together and be sited more or less next to each other. If that's so, you may have problems. The traffic will be dire through Upton upon Severn and you can't really avoid it as it's the only convenient river crossing. If you try to travel in convoy you will probably get separated. If you do, there's a further problem on arrival at the show as there are about six parallel holding lanes just inside the gate, and you want to be behind each other in the same one.
I would get a lot closer to the showground before you meet up. I think by the duck pond at Hanley Swan would be good (but please read on to the end). 52.083863, -2.274359
You can't miss it, and there's a little service road by the Swan Inn where you could tuck in and wait. The road widens just in front of the pub, but there's plenty of room off the main road. There's also a small pull-in on the left (on the main road) just past the shop opposite the duck pond. Have a look on Street View.
From there it's only about half a mile up the road to the traffic lights, turn right and you will come to the Main Gate where we DON'T go in, so beware if you are checking it out on Street View. We have to go a bit further on to turn into the holding field, which will be treacherous if it has rained a lot. 52.088841, -2.310764
I would almost suggest that you meet your friends just inside the gate of the holding field. There's plenty of room on the right to pull in and wait, and that's the only way to be absolutely sure of going into the show together. Organised chaos is not a bad description when it gets busy.
Hope this is useful. You can buy me a pint inside the show!

Thanks, but don't you mean "Commiserations" Norman?
I am clearly among gentlemen (and women) though, so it won't be like it was on another motorhome forum!!!!
Dave
P.S. I'm not joking either! If the ASOF members were not such a great bunch of people I wouldn't have accepted the job.

No problem Mikey
We live quite close so I'm well aware of the problems on the roads. If you are going to the show on Thursday, try to arrive very soon after 12.00 noon. If you leave it to the evening you are likely to sit in a long queue of traffic.
Thinking further, if it were me I would definitely meet friends just inside the holding field gate - unless you are pre-booked with a club of course, then it wouldn't matter so much if you got separated.
You will enjoy it - one of the best shows in our opinion. The catering is not bad either, and not too expensive.
