carpet linning
Can anyone tell me what name is given to the blue ribbed carpet lining that A/S have been using since the early 90's so far the interweb has come up with "Royal" "Ocean" "heather" and "Light" I bought some from Charles and son, Poole, Dorset 15 years ago to cover the rear seat boxes on a Rambler GL 94 model and it has been used on the Symbol, Montanna and many other models over the years. It matches the lining on my current A/S and I need to purchase a couple of metres. Help anyone?

Hey Biffo I am pretty sure you will want 'Ocean', which I have just been using to redo the linings in my 1995 VW Trophy. It matches the AS trim almost exactly and is the same kind of ribbed lining that I have elsewhere in the van. Looks really nice too! I got mine from Martrim, very good quick service: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Here is a picture....older lining on the left, new Ocean trim on the right. The picture makes the older lining look quite faded, whereas in reality the colour contrast is not so strong and the new lining blends in very well.

Thanks for your help. Martrim sent some samples and I found "Ocean" to be to light. A company called AT industries had the nearest match in stock so the job is done. Neptune Blue is a pretty good match. The van is locked away now until about May when I'll continue the restoration not that it needs much more work. Just the lower door graphics and some new brakes all round (discs & pads) & maybe a Truma water heater.
