Is that to return to the dealer you bought from?

Re: Warrenty
We travelled well over a 1200 miles getting things sorted on ours and did manage a free hab service from a Marquis but that's all.
I think the small print excludes travel too and from (plus ).

Re: Warrenty
When my BMW motorbike needed serious warranty work the dealership I'd bought it from sent a van the 35 miles to my door, unloaded an equivalent demonstrator for me to use and took away my bike for work to be done.
Two weeks later my bike was not ready as promised and I needed it to go on holiday. BMW promptly credited £250 to my card to pay for any extra inconvenience caused.
To say they went above and beyond what I expected was an understatement..

Exactly the same with the chassis part of our MH, doesn't seem to work with MH bit thoughbikeralw wrote:When my BMW motorbike needed serious warranty work the dealership I'd bought it from sent a van the 35 miles to my door, unloaded an equivalent demonstrator for me to use and took away my bike for work to be done.

Re: Warrenty
I have had more than my fair share of problems with my 2012 Broadway incolving several trips to Marquis for warranty repairs. Being 60 miles from both the Chieveley and Northampton branches it involves time, expense and inconvenience for two trips each time to deliver and collect. When the Truma water heater flooded the van in June we could not get it booked in to Chievely for six weeks but they arranged with Northampton to do it within a couple of weeks. So we took it up there intending to spend the day in Northampton and collect it that evening. On arrival they said the new unit would need to be ordered despite being told of the problem two weeks earlier by Chieveley. They were apologetic. So we brought the van home and they eventually sent a man to collect it, replaced the boiler and delivered it back to us. They also paid the fuel cost, gave it the diamond bright treatment and the offer of a reduced price solar panel. So give credit where it is due for good service.

Re: Warrenty
I think the response from the dealer would be that you chose to buy from them, and they haven't moved premises since!
Unless they have, or you have moved house, but in either case I doubt if you would get much joy, unless there were exceptional circumstances as stated a couple of times above. They would soon go out of business if they did that for everyone!!
Dave
P.S. Doesn't apply to Mrs Ploppy, but one of the daftest mistakes some people make, including a good friend of ours, is to visit a show and tour all the dealers and haggle for the best possible knock down price . . . only to realise (when it's too late) that they live in Truro and the dealer is in Scapa Flow!!!
Saving £150 over the price from their friendly local dealer suddenly doesn't seem such a good bargain.

Re: Warrenty
The real point of my posting was merely to express disappointment that so much has gone wrong with my Broadway necessitatiing so many unexpected trips to Marquis and yes Dave we were originally aware of buying at a distance. Marquis were indeed mindful of this and ongoing problems hence, presumably, the excellent service we have had from them. As this thread was about the financial cost of arranging warranty work my posting therefore related to this. Perhaps we have been lucky with Northampton but Auto sleepers cannot have branches in every town and recognise that long distances are sometimes involved if they want us to buy their product. They did with me.
