Marquis Suffolk Mercedes Automatic 2008
We are only a few days away from picking up our new acquisition.
Has anyone got one and what do they think of it?
Thanks, Chris

Hi and welcome to the forum from sunny Bridlington, be careful if you intend to take your van down the Warren CC&C site in your home town.

Ah yes, know it well, but we won't be going anywhere near the Warren or similar. Strictly for the rabbits I'd say.
Thanks for your guidance.

Welcome to the forum, we used to have a 2011 Suffolk and liked it, great rear lounge, we removed the tv from the drop down locker and converted this into a proper storage locker and mounted the tv on the rear of the toilet compartment under what was the drop down locker, enjoy your van I am sure you will have some great times with it.

Re: Marquis Suffolk Mercedes Automatic 2008
Hi,
I have recently purchased a 2010 Merc auto Suffolk and up to now very pleased.Have not been away yet but hope to remedy that next week.
Have made a few additions;-
.22 litr gas tank and bbq point, can now use the gas locker for extra storage, muddy boots etc.
.reversing and forward looking cameras.
.extra 240 and 12v power to rear seating area.
.was thinking of adding wind and solar power for wild camping trips, have the kit which was fitted to my VW T5, but need to look into connections as the Suffolk is a lot more complicated.
Hope you enjoy your new toy, Cheers Phil

You certainly will be happy with the Mercedes chassis and the auto box, ours is a Worcester but the same basic chassis as yours, much better than the previous Peugeots and Fiats of that era we have owned..... enjoy your new toy, for your first out of the country why not try Cornwall?....

Picked it up yesterday. In love with it already. Has the old hose water filling system which suits me. Only has 15k on the clock and everything looks like new.
Lake District next week and then the world or S France and Spain anyway. Thanks everyone for all your helpful comments and encouragement soo... happy.

Our 2011 automatic Marquis County Suffolk is the best motorhome we've owned downsizing from an Auto trail cheyenne. The only two things to watch out for is to regularly use it or they seem to develop electrical issues. Also completely wax protect the cab and under bonnet metal areas or they rust quite quickly. A brilliant motorhome.
