The rivers have been high in the Dales , with some local minor flooding. , nothing like the flooding and damage in your photo CC.

24 degrees in the Shropshire Hills too today. Cream tea at a lovely watermill near Leominster after a visit to view the Knucklas Viaduct on the Heart of Wales line. Back to the site for a beautiful sirloin steak and a few glasses of a good Merlot.

Baking in South Cornwall today, 26.5 degrees according to the thermometer in the yard, are we away in the motorhome, no just cutting hedges and trailering it all off to the tip......
but we are off to Godrevy tomorrow for a day at the beach, forecast 24 degrees and low tide at 11.15am so couldn't be better

Re: Lovely weather for camping...
I've spent 8 hours today driving a 3.5 ton dropside which has no aircon, up and down the M5 & M6 motorways so windows closed (to protect my hearing) in heavy traffic, fan only able to blow what was very warm air, with the sun making the inside a bit like a greenhouse. The only respite was when I had to get out and load/unload and climb up on the back to strap the loads down, in the hot sun. Oh, and having to sit around waiting for loads to be ready, parked where there wasn't any shade. So forgive me if I'm a little less than enthusiastic about the weather today.
And it was 38.5 degrees C (approx 101 degrees F) in the car when I got in to go home. Not much more than the pick-up felt like most of the day. Spare a thought for the folk having to work outside in these temperatures.

Oh yes, but a few years to go before that happens. By the time I retire, the retirement age will probably have gone up to 70 or 75!
