NCurrently on the C&CC site at Beadnell Bay. It's either going for a walk in persistent drizzle and wind or watching England v Wales!! Come on England!

I'd rather get totally drenched on a long walk in the rain than spend any part of my life watching 22 overpaid big bairns chasing a ball around a park.

But that's just me . . .

Even worse than you Roger - or perhaps "better" depending on the viewpoint. (Ghastly pun intended!!  snigger )

We just spent three weeks away, and the telly didn't come out of its box once. In fact, I wonder why I bought the damned thing as we so rarely watch it when on holiday! shrugg

We haven't taken a telly with us in the van for years now, I don't miss it although Mrs B does miss her Aussie soaps.

My Kindle and Mrs B's supply of charity shop paperbacks keep us amused in rainy spells; we do take some DVDs to watch on the laptop, mainly costume dramas although Jaque Tati's M. Hulot films are regular favourites.

Currently working through season one of Outlander, as we know many of the historic locations (Falkland, Aberdour, Culross, etc) although I have to say some of the content is a bit violent and/or gory for our tastes.

I'm with the first three responders - I never take a TV away with me and, even if I did, the prospect of watching a bunch of blokes kick a ball about holds no interest at all. I'd definitely be out in the drizzle...

we like to take the TV but mainly so that we don't watch it. I find if I don't have one I am often wondering what is on whereas if we have one we will read a book.

Great site at Beadnell Bay. It was wet and windy when I was there in August a few years back. The same week we ended up in a pub in Bellingham, drying the kids' coats in front of an open fire....

We take everything - tv, DVD, sky satellite, smartphone, kindles, digital radio, to use as required. Download daily newspapers to ipad via smartphone tethering. Don't bother with cards or board games though.
