Ello Ello
Hello from Merseyside,
I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to motorhome ownership, though the interest/desire for something to hit the open roads with has often been lurking in the background. Probably something German based, too.
On my recent search for something suitable I was advised by various people – both dealers and enthusiasts alike – that Auto-Sleepers with their monocoque bodies and craftsmanship could be the best way to go. And that the build quality throughout the 90s is somewhat unmatched in this class. Further research and viewings later, I can only agree. (Edit: but admittedly I know very little!)
My one issue with the AS vehicles of that era: what were the fabric designers thinking with some of those patterns?!?
Anyway, for me specifically: I've recently paid a deposit on a 1998 VW LT35 AS Medallion... more of which I will no doubt post shortly.
Along my various searching and searching again, this forum continually popped up with various bits and pieces of great insider information from experienced owners. So it would be rude not to join, considering I might just have caught the AS bug.
Bye for now.
J

I agree about the upholstery patterns perhaps they were the fashion at the time ,can always put a throw over most of them.
