Re: Step Light
I suspect it is the same supply fuse as the step. On mine F9 in the EM50 unit behind the driver's seat. Is this under your seat?

Re: Step Light
Is it a lumo Eye light? One of these http://lumo.eu.com/wp-content/uploads/EyeLite.pdf
Has a 5w capless wedge bulb. I have never removed the fitting or accessed the bulb so can't help.

Re: Step Light
I had mine go and could not get to the bulb, I fitted a complete new unit I bought off eBay, very easy to fit and reasonably cheap.

Re: Step Light
The lens must pull off from the front, with the switch removed. Before forcing it, have you check for power at the cable terminal. If that is ok, nothing to lose, pull the lens. A call to Lumo may help.
Let us know what happens.

You switch the light on by pushing it in on the left hand side of the lens and off by pushing in again. It is not switched by any of the other light circuits, you do need the main control panel to be switched on.

Re: Step Light
Alan, my step light only works when the control panel is switched on. It appears to be a moulded silver plastic body with a sealed clear lens. I cannot see any way of getting in to replace the bulb or the switch bar cutting into it. I think as Padraigpost has said that you have to replace the complete unit.

Re: Step Light
My replacement unit cost around £7-50 + postage, easy to fit, I have just got another to keep as a spare as they are so cheap

Re: Step Light
Where did you get the lumo light at that price.
On Jackson Leisure Spare site it says
"An oval shaped courtesy light with a safe, practical click-switch lens, the Lumo EyeLite Caravan Light is ideal for use as a reading light for the kids, entrance lamp or even bathroom mirror light and features a novel, satin coloured stylish design and is suitable for recess fit or surface mount. This light is a sealed unit with no access to the Halogen bulb."

I wouldn't mind experimenting by dismantling yours but mine is staying in one piece.

I see that the one I posted about on eBay has been sold so I assume someone on here has bought it.

Re: Step Light
Alan, you will also need 2 of the tiny spade connectors to join the wires as the new lights do not come with them unless you can reuse the ones on the old unit.

Re: Step Light
Alan, be sure you get the correct size ones as I believe there are 2 sizes, it is the small ones you need, you will only need the male ones to connect to the existing 2 female ones.
