Hello from new member.
Hello,
Joined recently but omitted to introduce myself - sorry!
David Campbell (age 70) from Central Scotland, the proud owner of a 1999 Medalion based on a 2.9L Mercedes Sprinter. I bought it in 2001 with less than 2,000 miles on the clock and have never been tempted to change it. Tripped over the Forum recently when sourcing spare parts on Google and decided to join.
The Mercedes chassis unit has been brilliant, in sixteen years it has required one new battery, a diesel return hose replaced (perished), a front indicator lens unit replaced and a new windscreen. I will have to replace the exhaust this year.
The Autosleeper part of the motorhome has also done pretty well, it has required five leisure batteries, one new water pump, water heater seals replacement, new fridge relay, one window re-sealed with silicone and recently, the external electrical supply plug-in fitting fell to pieces and had to be replaced.
I am enjoying reading the many helpful articles on the Forum.
