Hello
After several years of thinking about it, we have finally bought a campervan (Renault Auto-sleeper). It is 20 years old but should be a good re-introduction to the world of campervanning (if there is such a word).
40 years ago my mother (bless her) bought me a basic VW van which gave my husband, our daughter and I lots of fun but not much room. We owned it for 12 years. Last year we converted our ancient landrover attaching a Caranex so we could sleep in it and have a little space. All that did was make me want something more comfortable and with a heater, cooker and sink. Plus room to stand up. We pick it up next week and can't wait.

Hello and thanks for the welcomes.
Which insurance companies are the best for campervans? Our cars are currently insured with Direct Line and the Landrover with Adrian Flux. Would these be any good or are there more suitable companies?
Sadly we will be selling our ancient but much loved Landrover plus one other car. We are just two now, so do not need four vehicles in the drive!

Welcome from Kenley.
Both my VW & Transit (self builds) have been with Adrian Flux. I'm not sure if I will stick with them for the Autosleeper (when I get it).

Re: New member
We used to use Caravan Club insurance which came in cheapest because they offered a deal to be £25 cheaper than any other quote. When we renewed thereafter they were still good value.
