Metal bolts protuding from roof of Devon.
Can anyone tell me about the metal bolts protuding upwards on both sides of the roof of my 2008 Devon? Are they for fixing a roof rack or similar? They are not sealed in anyway, should they be? Thanks.

I have some dome nuts on my roof as well. They look too small for roof bars but are centrally placed on some flat "pads" on the moulding.

I have always thought of them as supports for some sort of roofbars / rackĀ oddly they were cleaned last week of leaf mold
