Hello all!
Hello everyone! I actually joined ASOF last year having just purchased a 1997 Boxer 320 Autosleeper Executive with 32k on the clock but have been ridiculously busy so haven't had the time to properly introduce myself. I'd been looking for a sensibly priced motorhome for over a year & looked at several Elddis, Compass & Swift's. However they all seemed to have damp issues leading to holes in the bodywork or spongy floors, plus the designs were a bit boring. Then I came across the Autosleepers with their monocoque bodies & retro looks & realised that was what I wanted (plus they were under my 6m limit). I wanted something simple & reliable & the 1997 Executive ticked all those boxes having no turbo, central locking, air con or electric windows to worry about. So far I've had the cam belt, starter motor, water pump, filters, fuel filter diaphragm & main battery replaced. I know this seems a little bit of overkill but I intend to keep this unit for quite some time & wanted a good base to start from. Next on the list is a 150w solar panel charging system & a Gasit twin cylinder LPG system. I know there are people reading this that are probably thinking "should have got a turbo" & yes, it's not the fastest thing on the road but I'll be touring in it with no real timetable so speed wasn't an issue. There are many things I want to do & scanning through the topics here, most of them seem to be covered. Anyway, great to be here & look forward to getting to know you all
