Hi new member here
Been thinking of a Motorhome for years always liked the look of the AS looks like it can look after itself being a mono... design, I've enjoyed reading the info on this site and like people's views etc, makes owning one more interesting and involved. Hopefully this time next week we will own a new to us Sherbourne AS Thanks for having me Bren

Welcome from N.E Wales reading your opening post, I see you like the idea of the monocoque design - the Sherbourne isn't one, it's a standard coachbuilt.

According to the VW TRANSPORTER MODEL HISTORY SITE, the Sherbourne is a monocoque that is where I read it years ago.
Just tried to copy and paste but cannot do that on that site.

You can copy and paste if you do the whole paragraph.
Circa 2000 Auto-Sleepers used the latest version of the short wheel base chassis cab T4 Transporter as the base vehicle for a totally new coachbuilt model using an advanced one piece fibreglass monocoque body. It was called the Autosleeper Sherbourne motorhome. The interior had a seating / bedroom area behind the cab seats and opposite that a kitchen area with sink, fridge, cooker and oven and then at the rear offside the shower and toilet cubicle area with seperate shower cubicle, washbasin and flushing toilet. Access to the rear is via a side door.
but obviously the write-up is wrong and this other photo taken from the same site page shows the side seams so their own photos do not match the write-up..
personally I think it's an extremely attractive van with a great interior layout as can be seen on that website.
