Hello Members, I have just joined with my wife, and we have bought an Auto-Sleeper Pollensa 2002 vintage .We have given up Boating and Caravanning and this will be our new interest in life. WE live in Dorset and have an interest in travelling. At the moment we are getting familiar with all the details of the Camper.Today we sought out a Weighbridge and checked out our MIRO and were pleasantly surprised that we have plenty of capacity to load our personal gear. Our last camper in 1999 was overweight before we put anything in it. The engine is 1900cc so we dont expect to break any speed records;and we have been lucky with the extras that we found in the locker.Reversing camera, silver screens, and Omnistor Residence Awning.Still struggling to sort out the latter but it looks to be a nice piece of kit;we are familiar with the arguments re caravan and camper so have a reasonable idea of what to expect when out on the road.
Our next task is packing the living gear in an efficient manner and feedback and tips would be welcome. We will be keeping the Camper in a barn 40 mins away because we are not allowed to store at the house,so I am worried about the batteries and I guess if they are not going to be used for a couple of weeks I guess they will have to come home to the garage for regular top-up.

Thats all for the moment.regards stan lawley

Welcome from N.E Wales.    handshake

For your batteries, consider solar panel either on roof or loose on the dashboard, providing your storage is not under cover. Plenty of info on the forum about these.

Hello and asof_welcome2 from Leicestershire, you will notice the difference from a caravan, more relaxing, in less than five minutes on arriving at your destination, you`ll  have a drink in your hand , much easier all round, enjoy. up!

Hello from damp and cold Ayrshire coast. We never had a caravan but one of our favourite people watches is seeing how long it takes caravanners to get set up once they are on their pitch. tap_fingers
