Hello everybody,
My name is Dave and I live in Kenley, not far from Croydon.
I won't have an Auto-sleeper until a long way in to next year, I have just ordered a Nuevo with an auto box. While I'm waiting I thought I would join here and get some of my questions answered.
This will be my third van but will be the first professionally built coach built. I started by kitting out a VW transporter myself and we used that for about 8 years until the van came out in sympathy with my ill health and became too much of a project for me at that time. I then bought an already converted Transit which has served us well for a couple of years but I was made redundant this year and have decided to not look for another job. Three weeks in Europe in the Transit convinced us that the Transit is just a bit small for extended holidays - which retirement should give us - and so the search for a more appropriate van.
We have a definite 6m maximum length so the choice was not great but after a couple of days at the NEC last week has convinced us that the Nuevo will suit us very well indeed.
I hope to be here for a long time.
Dave

Hi Dave and a big welcome to the forum and the world of Autosleepers. Sounds like you have made a good choice and will get loads of good info off the forum.
I bet it seems like a long long time away before you get your new van but worth the wait. Enjoy

Hi Dave, another welcome to the forum, this time from Selsdon, not a million miles from you. In fact I drove through Kenley 10 mins ago. I'm sure you will enjoy your van and retirement. Bob

Thank you all for the welcome.
It's already a long time and we only placed the order yesterday. We will spend the time deciding where to go for the first time. And the second, and the third and the....
Bobskate, if you drive along the A22 and see a camper Transit, it could be mine. It will disappear at some time and will later become an A/S but don't hold your breath waiting!

Well the next time on the A22 I will in the Warwick, not the car,

so coming from Selsdon I tend go via Kenley as the hill is more manageable. Anyway next time in the car will keep an eye out.
