Hello
Hi,
I (& Hubby) are the proud owners of a 1997 Autosleeper Executive purchased as its second loving owners Feb 2010. We had toured New Zealand hiring a motorhome 2 years previously and were smitten. Just as we finally made up our minds to take the plunge our neighbours inlaws arrived in their van and as we admired it, they said they were selling. Deal done!
We try and go off somewhere every 3rd weekend and longer spells during my holidays. We have been to France 3 times, taking an extended break in Brittany last Easter. We are currently planning a 2 week spell next Easter into France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
We share the driving and I love being behind the wheel. There is something so liberating spending time in our motorhome. I think it has to do with all the clutter, material things, everyday stresses and work, all left behind and forgotten for those treasured moments.
I take all the relevant magazines, have a photo of my van stuck to my diary in work, a picture on my office wall and now have a model motorhome for my desk. I probably bore the pants off everyone who has never spent time away motorhoming. Fortunately a few friends have motorhomes or caravans so understand my passion.
Joined this site as just discovered reference to it on Motorhome Facts this evening and wanted to read / join in with like minded enthusiasts. Beter than any TV!
