More Trumatic S3002 problems
Recently the fan control on my heater (Trumatic S3002) stopped working. Fuse 10 in the EC325 is ok, fan spins freely. I suspect the control knob or wiring to it is at fault. The control has 5 wires, grey/brown/black/blue/white. Anybody know which is supply. Any ideas.

Update:
Tried a new control switch. Still no fan action,so I guess the problem lies deeper into the heater assembly.
How do you get in there though. Can it be accessed through the wardrobe floor? and how does that come out. Or is it a piecemeal dismantling from the front.

Sorry not spotted this earlier. Cant see what van you have. When I took one down on last van it was piecemeal strip from front involving disconnecting gas. You MUST replace flue seal ring on reassembly

I have a Gloucester, effectively same as your Malvern, I think.
If it is from the front, I'll leave it to the local Truma agent. Any idea how, if, the wardrobe floor comes out?

Re: More Trumatic S3002 problems
More than my lifes worth to start stripping it down while we are away. Two screws to the front of the wardrobe floor that go into the front panel above the fire. I guess the floor rest on some battons and those screws just keep it in position. The woodwork around the flue would have to be removed first then take out those two screws nd see if you can lift the base.
Let me know how you get on and don't blame me if it goes wrong! If you can get the floor out it will be a lot easier than stripping the fire.
Thinking about it, the AS service centre ran a new cable from the control unit to the PSU. The original goes through the roof and they couldn't get at that so they went down with the flue then through the floor, under the van and then back up to the psu. I think they must have had the wardrobe floor out to do that but I didn't see it.

Thanks Peter, I may give that a go when I get back from the Lake District (Off tomorrow to Coniston CC site via Leek). I suspect the floor panel may be stuck down with silicon as is the flue panelling. A call to AS may be a good idea before I start.

Re: More Trumatic S3002 problems
Update on my non-operating fan.
AS confirmed that wardrobe floor is push fit, having removed any obvious screws, not stuck down.
Took the van to MG Caravans in Royston today, Highly recommended. Problem soon sorted to short in connection cable, blowing fan PCB. Shorting caused by cable rubbing on internal metal shield, where it passes through plain hole.
Cut in sheathing and burning can be seen below.
Front of PCB, looks OK.
Back of PCB tells a different story.
Moral is check your cable where it passes through front casing.
