Hi everyone
Hi everyone. We are from Newton Abbot in Devon and will be picking up our very first motorhome next Saturday. We have gone for a 2005 Inca Ek 4 berth 2.0 TDi as it ticks about all of the boxes that we were looking for in a motorhome. As complete newbies to this, we will be keeping an eye out on the tips topics for any help.
We have already planned our first outing.......a couple of hours after we pick her up

Re: Hi everyone
Welcome to the forumm, and to motorhoming, from South Wales
Waste water? Well, you have options... Most camp sites have drive-over points where you can dump grey waste (sink, shower, hand basin) directly into a drain.
Rather than move the van to empty grey waste, if we are staying for a longer time on a site, we sometimes take a wastemaster water collector to wheel to the dosaposal point... then we don't have to dismantle the awning etc!
(Never, never just allow waste water to pour onto the pitch. Someone else will follow you onto the pitch and they do not want to camp over your soggy remains!)
The toilet? You carry your toilet cassette to the disposal point and flush the waste away, rinse out your cassette, and replace it ....
HOWEVER...
Don't forget to warn other people in your party that you are taking the cassette out, or accidents can prove messy!.
Have a great time...and remember, you don't have to drive hundreds of miles if you don't want to... as soon as you set off, the adventure begins ... Try local campsites until you find your feet! ENJOY!!

Re: Hi everyone
Thanks very much for the useful info. Our first trip out, just after we pick her up, is near Bournemouth and our booked pitch has electric hook up, drainage and water. I take it water means clean drinking? If so, what is the 'normal' length of hose you would get to take with you in order to fill your tank?
