Are motorhomes value for moneyor a rip off ?

Loosecoverqueen. Very interesting viewpoint, prices for new vans are extortionate and I agree entirely about the perceived aded value aspect. There are companies out there that will build an interior to your own spec onto a new or used van, these conversions lack the sophistification of the big MH constructors but do fill a gap at the "lower" end of the market for people who are happy with basic facilities. There does however seem to be a distinct discrimination around these and self build vehicles.
