SUPERGARD 100 plus Empty SUPERGARD 100 plus

Post by terry chapman Sat Jul 04, 2015 12:38 pm

Having just arrived home from a very hot and dusty holiday in southern Europe the wagon is baked with dirt and flies. Tomorrow I start the long job of cleaning. A friend has recommended that when I eventually finish to polish the whole vehicle with supergard 100 he seems to think it is very easy to use and will make the motor easier to wash in the future. I have read a lot about different polishes on different surfaces and I wonder if any one has used this product on a coachbuilt. Ours is a broadway.

I have never used supagard 100 my only observation would be that is a paint protection designed for use on painted surfaces not GRP. That said, I am sure it is better than nothing at all.

I would still be inclined to use a marine based product formulated for use on GRP.

These wonder super guard products are nothing short of a joke ! They earn sales people huge amounts of commission !

Use a high Quality long durability automotive wax like Collinite 476S. This is about the longest durability wax you can buy and its not expensive at all !

Sorry to bang on about this but if you are protecting GRP you need a wax FORMULATED FOR GRP. The higher carnuba content the better.

If you want to buy Collinite ( never tried it myself) you need

Collinite 885 fleetwax
Collinite 925 boatwax

That is why they make it!!
