AutoSleeper Inca Owners?
Hi Everybody,
I have just purchased a 2006 Auto Sleeper Inca EK. Are there any other members with the same van?
Thanks
Steve

According to the 'membership' listed 'by model' there are 8 members with Incas but not everyone visits or posts on the forum.

Re: AutoSleeper Inca Owners?
Hi Steve, I also have a 2006 (but registered in 2007) Inca EK. I think it wasn't terribly well looked after, but nevertheless it's a cracking van, we love it.
Had it for 2 years, it's our first motorhome, having been caravanners for a long time. Mainly used in Scotland, but we had 6 weeks in France last year, and are planning similar for this year.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions, although I'm not the most technically savvy of people.
Cheers,

Ours is on the 2.8 JTD engine. We're getting somewhere between 26 and 28 mpg fully laden, which we think is OK.

Hi again Steve. You PM'd me on Friday, and I replied same day, but message hasn't been viewed.
I see you were looking at the forum earlier today, so maybe as a newish user you don't know to check your messages inbox. There's a notification at the top of the page which tells you if you have any new messages.
Apologies if this is a bit "teaching granny to suck eggs".

had one 4 years use it regular superb still love it get around 28-30 MPG and that's not driving like miss daisy watch out for mud going between the (lhs when facing forward) locker and body skin can hold water and make the front seat corner damp in the seating area below , also had the turbo waste gate valve stay shut which causes the light on the dashboard to light up. get your arm in the waste water bottle and give a good clean as jelly mould was in mine when I bought it, turn the pump off when you go to bed other wise it will wake you up, use foam toppers on the bed for a good nights sleep

Got a 2005 INCA EL which we are very pleased with. It has the rear lounge configaration making it feel very spacious. Quality good. bit rattly on the road although thats probably the items in the cupboards!

We've been looking for a Nuevo ES without success so far. Saw an Inca at one of the dealers in the Malvern show. Does anyone know when production of this model ceased?

Re: AutoSleeper Inca Owners?
Thanks for that response Peter.I seem to remember that the Peugeot Boxer was changed in about 2006 so I suppose some Incas are on the new version of the Boxer as well. My last MH was registered in 2007 but was on the old boxer with the 2.8 engine which I thought was great. Very flexible through the gears and good on the hills.

Re: AutoSleeper Inca Owners?
I actually think that it was the introduction of the X250 chassis that triggered the change from Inca to Sigma and that all Incas were on the older chassis - but I'm happy to be proved wrong.
Mine was the 2.8 and it was a super van.

Re: AutoSleeper Inca Owners?
Thanks Peter. I'm sure you are right, once a new base vehicle was introduced AS had to create a "new" model to accommodate the changes. Perhaps it was wishfull thinking hoping that the Inca had continued production for longer! I recall AS explaining how base vehicle changes resulted in extensive discussions with Cheltenham Laminates concerning the monocoque bodies.

Hope you are enjoying your van. We have just purchased a 2005 Inca EK 2.0 HDI. I thought the engine would be a little under-powered for the size of van, but having test driven her, she handles great and has enough power to get up some pretty steep hills. We pick her up next Saturday morning and will be heading straight off for the weekend. This is our very first motorhome, so we have a bit to learn.
Happy cruising
