Hello all Symphony owners Empty Hello all Symphony owners

Post by paddyinwales Tue Jun 09, 2015 9:56 pm

Hello all

Have just recently purchased a 1997 Symphony on a Peugeot Boxer 2l petrol.

Previously we had a 1993 Symphony on a Talbot Express 2l petrol.

Reason for change? Old Symphony was getting a bit tired, leaky tanks and pipes, failing equipment, saggy floor, aching arms from lack of power steering.

Why stick with Symphony? Like the layout very much, "new" version slightly roomier, power steering...

Have just had an engineering week remounting the old Fiamma blind and bike rack, seem to have used every tool in my kit!

Regards,

Just to explain my avatar: it's the view of our beloved old 1993 Talbot Express Symphony, which we ran for seven years, taken through the windscreen of the 1997 Boxer Symphony in the garage forecourt, bearing the irresistable banner "Power Steering", and slightly less accurately "Low Mileage" (71k). That photo along with others I took on that occasion helped the family discussion, as did a reasonable part-exchange offer on the Talbot, and in due course the exchange was made, has been a learning curve ever since!

Welcome from another Symphony owner in north east Wales. Mine's on a Talbot too but has power steering. If I could find out why then toilet leaks it would be perfect!! I know what you mean about the extra space in the Peugeot though, just that little bit wider.
