Intro from a newboy
Hello All
I have just registered as a member, although I registered back in Nov 2013 but unfortunately removed 3 weeks later, I think I was removed because I did not use the site. I hope I can remain a member longer than 3 weeks this time ? Ha Ha
Now I am retired I have more time on my hands to enjoy my 1996 Ford Duetto. I've owned my Duetto for over 10 years and I love it. I keep looking to renew it, but I find the newer Duetto is not as nice as mine and other models and makes fall in that same category.
My Duetto is automatic, so the 2,5 litre engine has never over-reved ,so the engine will last & last. Its done 80k and doesn't use any oil between services. Although you shouldn't leave your van for long periods, when I do, it always starts straight away. That is why I love my Duetto !!!!!

I am sorry to learn you were removed from the forum but it would have been longer than 3 weeks. Let me clarify.
Admin, who is the site owner reviews the membership database from time to time, normally every 6 months+ intervals and anybody who has not "signed in" for that period may get removed unless we know why, Spain for say 6 months !! House moves etc.
We use "the signed in" term rather than posting as we have many members who prefer to read only and thats fine.
Some members may have log in problems and for some reason dont use email to try and resolve, this could be another reason for leaving someone on or indeed putting them back on with the original user name.
The reason Admin follows this route is to see a fairer figure for membership.
An example was one of the more active foums that when sold still had me as a member yet I hadnt been on there or paid a sub for a few years. There is another with high membership figures that averages 2 or 3 postings a week and dont have many browsers (logged in anyway)

Waves hello from a very windy Brighton, we have a 95 ford automatic too, they drive so well and at times we have also looked at newer van only to feel that they are not quite the business. We also have 80k on the clock and our garage tell us the engine is good for 400k.. If we ever do change it will only be because of the layout as the only draw back is not having a fixed bed.

Hello Roger - thanks for the response. Seems I managed to buck the system - I never was any good with technology - got my welcome email on 30-11-13 and I must have fried the system as I got an account removed email on 20-12-13 . No probs - I just thought that it was incredibly funny.

Thanks for your post. you are quite right about the bed situation. We were very impressed with the Auto-Sleeper Kingham ( a Duetto with a fixed bed ) the only drawback is the asking price, its on my wish list should I be lucky enough to win the lottery
