Hello
So after many years of caravanning in either an ACE or a LUNAR or a COACHMAN and even a TABBERT and motorhoming in things like a BEDFORD DORMOBILE or a SCSPORTHOME or a FLEETWOOD TIOGA or a RIMOR or a EURAMOBIL we finally hit AUTOSLEEPERS in 2008.
I do have to say that the little SANDHURST we have at the moment has been very good to us.
We don't do great mileages, perhaps do a tour around Scotland once a year and we take it over to Spain once a year so to date it has covered just about 23,000 miles and touching wood as I write this....... all trouble free miles.
I'm restricted, through the rules and regulations laid down by the DVLA, that as a disabled person I have to have vehicles that are adapted to suit my disability. In my case it's something quite simple and straightforward which is I'm unable to use my left leg as others may do.....such as I can't depress the clutch pedal. So for the past twenty six years I've had automatics. No problem with that at all, in fact in my humble opinion it's the way to go.
I still get a buzz out of going hither and yon even after doing this independant travelling malarky since 1968 after my first foray abroad in my Dormobile. As we're now in the time of our lives that we can do what we want and when we want and how we want I still put the car away, get the camper out and off we go.
What with the mobile telephone and the internet and all things rock and roll with regards to television and radio reception we don't miss a thing, even in the Valencia region of Spain we are able to get BBC1 and all the rest of the channels us older folks are used to......albeit with a bit of fine tuning here and there.
Recently we were guests at an eightieth birthday celebration and are known to many of the folks of a similar age to ourselves. Funny how some folks remember things that happened many many years ago when on our travels and as we were being reminded of an episode of years ago some folks, senior teenagers I'll call them, called us a couple of old hippies!!!! Ah, those were the days my friends.
Hope to see and meet with many other enthusiasts over the years to come.
Regards to each and every one of you.

Re: Hello
I said hello back in August last year but nevertheless, welcome back. Good to hear the Sandhurst is still performing.
