Lady owner so glad to have found you
Hi there, I'm Sue in Northampton. I have just bought my first motorhome, a 1998 Peugeot Boxer 2.5 Autosleeper. I hope that's the right description. I've only done a couple of trips to sites about 35 miles from home so far. Got the first drive on the motorway over with and was pleased with how well Wanda (that's her name!) went. I'm still working part-time but planning longer trips away soon. The Lake District in September I hope. I have arthritis in my hands and some things are a little tricky. Getting the gas bottle out was very difficult, for instance. So glad to have found this nice friendly forum as I'm sure I will have lots of questions.

Says Pescara on the Instruction Manual, would that be the model? Glad to meet you, Margaret.

Yes that`s it, lovely van. You will have lots of fun in her, I wish I had one years ago, but better late than never.

Hi SusieJ
A warm welcome from Malvern here. My wife and I too are "newbies" to motorhoming so we might have similar aspirations / interests / anxieties. However, where I might be of help to you is with your proposed Lake District trip. We used to live up in Keswick so know that neck of the woods quite well. If you want any recommendations / suggestions about that area, just give me a shout.
Best of luck
Peter

Re: Lady owner so glad to have found you
And a warm welcome from us two (+dog) in South Wales!
We have done four 'holidays' so far this year and have loads more planned. You don't have to drive endlessly.... We just tend to go to places withing a 100 mile radius these days (and sometimes, within 10 miles)...It is a wonderful and very friendly life. We love it!

Re: Lady owner so glad to have found you
Hi Sue and welcome
Most important, remember that there are no silly questions. Everything is simple if you know about it, but if you don't you can save yourself a lot of fretting by asking. We all started of knowing little or nothing and have learned as we go along, mostly by getting advice and help from others, sometimes 'the hard way'. The less you do of the latter the better, so ask away - there's always someone to help.

Welcome to the forum but you would have been better doing your own posting rather than tagging onto someone elses
For future if you could remember, on any forums on the internet, and in any emails the use of capital letters is considered to be shouting out loud
