Hello
Hi Folks
I spent many years wanting but not being able to afford a Bedford CF coachbuilt autosleeper. Roughly 4 years ago I found one too cheap to ignore and snapped it up (with money earmarked for something else). It was totally unmolested and showing just 49,000 miles. I drove it around for a year and loved it so much. It is petrol engined, diesel is for commercials not for cruising! (I already had a diesel CF. horribly slow and deafeningly noisey, tougher than any other 3.5ton on the road and twice the fun)
It was my baby change, café, minibus, transit beater and house on wheels- until I had a break in. They smashed the windscreen, drivers door glass and rear door glass. They really messed up the inside and then set off the powder filled fire extinguisher which is like taking a sack of flour and completely coating everything. I was, without exaggeration somewhat heart broken. After 3 years of lying around (both of us!) I am finally able to slowly address the mess.
I cant wait to get in it again!!!

Re: Hello
Hi,
Welcome from burton upon trent, I had a 2.3 petrol as a service van, what a beast,
Cambelt went once without any valve damage and gearchange failed once but for sheer power it was unbeatable,
Chris

Re: Hello
Hi Jeffo and a big welcome to the forum from a wet Rutland camp site (just started pouring down).
As others have said; an interesting intro and good luck with the cleanup, it will be great when done
