Tugger to Chugger
Hi Everyone
The description says it all. We've enjoyed our caravanning over the years but now we are newly retired, have decided to do some longer touring trips in Europe in a motorhome. We are going to miss lots of things about our caravan such as having far more space to store 'in case we need it' items, hopping in the car for days out on mountain tracks where we wouldn't dream of taking a Motorhome and popping to the shops with handy car parking. However we are sure we will find some benefits once we get used to all the 'rattles' and 'rumbles' which we have previously towed behind us out of earshot. We also intend using the new vehicle in the UK where we enjoy rallying with our local Centre of the Caravan Club as well as visiting sites and CLs. We have also joined the Owners Club and intend joining one of the organised rallies later in the year.
Best Wishes

Re: Tugger to Chugger
Hi there and a big welcome to the forum I know exactly what you mean re benefits of both modes. We have caravanned for 30 years after many years tent camping and now to motorhoming. We are very fortunate 'for now' to be able to keep the caravan so have the best of both worlds. I must admit I prefer the MH but the caravan has the benefit as you say when we want a base and a car (or in my case the Landrover ).

Hi & from yet another ex-tugger. I hope you enjoy your MH - we are on our second now. I am sure you will soon find out that you perhaps don't need all those extra "just in case" items too!
