Hi, I'm Thorfinn. I bought my '88 Legend Transit in January, picked it up in Dundee from a private buyer. 35 miles later, on my way back to Glasgow, the engine overheated and that was the end of it - a core plug had dropped out following a frozen engine block caused by a lack of anti-freeze. £1100 of repairs later I was back on the road, but I've had lots done since, including repairing a prop shaft which dropped to the ground on an urban motorway at rush hour. Still lots to do but I've already done 6,500 miles with my 2.5 litre non-turbo diesel, including 2,500 miles through England, France and Wales with my 11-month-old twins in the back.

It's my first-ever camper van, and I love it!

You seem to have had a few problems, on a positive note you know what the score is on those items now and shouldnt give you any problems for a good while.

Thorfinn hope things will settle down from now on with a lot of trouble free camping.
