Hi Have just joined, hope to gain some useful advice about what model to purchase. The models I am considering are a Symbol or Nuevo EK. These models because of driveway length.
Has anyone got any thoughts about which model to go for, ex caravanners. There would be 2 persons plus 1 dog to travel and sleep in the vehicle.
Do like exploring off the beaten track, but wife likes comforts

Welcome from N.E Wales. . We changed from caravan (only 13ft due to driveway length) to a Symphony (forerunner to Symbol) which we had for 5 years before swapping to a Nuevo (better sized washroom and just feels roomier) which we've had for 15 months.

Welcome from Melton Mowbray. We originally came from caravans and have spent recent years in raising roof vans before settling for our current Symbol. It fits our driveway which saves on storage costs and is ready to go whenever we do. Look for the layout that suits you. enjoy.

Welcome to the forum from cold and windy Swansea! We've had sailing yachts, motor-homes and a caravan.
Probably best to make some lists:
Things You Must have
Things you absolutely do not want
Maximun length, height and width
Number of berths and belted seats
Then view as many different vans as you can find nearby, until you find the model which fits your criteria...Then scour the internet for a good example of the one you want.....You'll recognise it by its vibes when you find it!
Take your time!
And good hunting!

Hi and welcome to the forum from Bridlington.
Boaby
P.S You may find after Caravanning a Symbol maybe on the compact size for you, especially if you have pets.
We up sized from a 59 Symbol to a 09 Nuevo EK es back in 2012 and enjoyed the extra room, full kitchen and showeroom.
We traded in again for a Sigma, which is longer than the Nuevo, making single and double beds without using the front seats.
Used prices on newer vans seem to be priced at nearly the same level as I paid for my Neuvo back in 2012.

Hello and:asof_welcome2: from Leicestershire, I had a Topaz after 14 months changed it for an Anniversary Clubman, ( still a nice length for drive and car parks ) more room, comfortable, bigger and more comfortable beds which are a doddle to make up and to put away, also in bad weather there is room to move about. I use mine as my every day vehicle, also have a caravan which if left to me it would be sold.Take your time looking and trying to visualise living in it. I used my experience with 25 years of caravans so knew what would work for me.Good luck

Hi there,
Welcome from a very cold Skegness where snow is also threatening to arrive.
With regard to "which van", we checked out what we really wanted from a van (small enough to fit on the drive was a must) and the 1998 Duetto that we bought still ticks all the boxes.
Best regards,

Thanks for the replies. A Symbol ticks most of the boxes especially
For fitting onto driveway, but Boaby advice is good and we might end with a Nuevo for the extra room.
