Ravenna step.
We have just bought a Ravenna as our first motorhome. When we saw it we could see that the step was incomplete and I thought all I needed to do was get a new footplate or fabricate one. Naturally now I have got it home I can see that I have a few more bits missing so does anybody know which step would fit on the existing Auto-Sleeper brackets? I thought it may be a "standard" size but my schoolboy measuring makes it look a strange size.
Can anybody help with suggestions for a replacement? Or can anyone confirm the size I should be looking for?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I'm pretty sure that the only make of step used is the Omnistep (now part of Thule group) details and spares should be available from here...

Re: Ravenna step.
Thanks Paul. The only step I could find online was the Omnistep and my measurements don't quite tally with the Omnistep 47 but I will go out and measure the bits again when the frost clears a bit later on.
Would an Omnistep have been fitted originally? My brackets are steel but the Omnistep appears to be alloy or is just the bits you can see from the outside are alloy and the bits underneath the van that get coated in spray, salt , mud etc are steel?
Sorry for all the questions and thanks again for your reply>

Paul you are probably correct for vans the age of the Ravenna but in more recent years several makes of step have been used.

I've just tried a magnet on the brackets as yes they are steel and the step plate itself is alloy.

Re: Ravenna step.
Thanks Paul. I hope you didn't get too cold doing that. I've just been outside to the van and it was -5 in there last night, the temperature has now risen to freezing so I can start work again.
It looks like the step would have been an Omnistep 47 which is now obsolete but can be replaced by the 550, this will have to wait until the credit card has recovered but at least I know what to get know.
Thanks again for your help. Do you know anything about leaky windows? The side hinged window in the lounge is my next project.

Re: Ravenna step.
Have a read of this thread, it mostly refers to monocoque bodies of which the Ravenna is not one but it may help with re-sealing procedures...

Re: Ravenna step.
The step is now sorted so thanks for your help chaps. The replacement footplate was £99.60 but in the end I bought a complete step from O'Leary Motorhomes for just under £110 including carriage. I ordered on Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday so very quick service, it took half an hour to fit because I couldn't find the right spanner in my highly organised toolkit and it now looks and works like it should. Just got to wait until the credit card has fully recovered before I can start getting all the other little bits I need.
