Hi everyone
I have just found this site having got info from another forum. I hope I will be able to get and maybe give useful information about my motorhome.
We have been life long tent campers so when we retired in 2007 we were able to go away for longer trips. To make touring easier we bought our first camper - a Trident and had a great time in her. However having had some cold, wet UK trips we decided to upgrade to something a little more comfortable. We now have a 2008 Symbol which so far has happily taken us round Spain and Portugal, to the top of Norway via Germany, Sweden and Finland and this year all round the Greek peloponese. The van has performed brilliantly so far and since it passed its warranty period we have been making some modifications to the habitation area.
So far we have replaced the cab curtains with full length thermal lined ones to keep out the cab draughts, made thermal pads to insulate the hab windows and fitted 3 extra mains sockets. We also lowered the TV and fitted a cupboard on the wall above it for all those bits and bobs that never seem to have a real home. We also modified the umbrella strap at the back of the van so we can now store the windbreak, sun shade and beach mats aswell.
We really look forward to reading about your ideas/modifications especially from anyone with the same vehicle as us.
Best wishes
Barbara & John

You certainly get around doubleup quite a few owners modify their vans to suit themselves. We recon that "all" motorhome manufacturers should send their design teams and partners out for a week in a new design before its let loose on the market.
