Hello from the North of Scotland
First things first - Happy New Year!
We are completely new to motorhoming, have never done any caravanning and never stayed in a campsite so it was with some trepidation that we (Rachel and Grant Coghill) took the plunge and bought a motorhome in November.
We chose the Autosleeper Neuvo for the simple reason that it is nice and compact to drive, park and store on our drive and so far we have been absolutely delighted with it.
But there is so much to learn - those of you who have been doing this for years will have forgotten how daunting it can be arriving at a new site and connecting the services, levelling the van etc - the good news is it is getting easier every time.
We are both retired now and plan is to tour as much as we can and in this country first as there is so much of it we have never seen. Living in Thurso on the north coast of Scotland means we have to travel everywhere so the miles will rack up but hey, ho.
The one constant has been the people - whether fellow motorhome owners, wardens etc, everyone has been so nice, welcoming and helpful.
So I hope we might meet some of you on our travels and finally, thank you for the support we get on this forum - it is appreciated.

Welcome and greetings from the Kingdom of Fife.
Well done - you've already learned the valuable lesson that folks are happy to help if you aren't afraid to seek assistance.
Don't forget, the only daft questions are the ones you don't ask!

Re: Hello from the North of Scotland
Welcome from Swansea We remember well our first outing in our first motor-home. We drove to Pandy in Abergavenny. Hoping to be directed and told where to park, we were nonplussed when the warden said "Park anywhere you like!"
We watched folk in a caravan which had pulled in just before us, and were amazed at all the jobs they had to do to get settled... So we hooked up and put the kettle on, got two chairs out and had a leisurely cuppa! Simples! And the following week, we drove to southern Spain. Enjoy your new life!
