Christmas pressie
Ha Ha. And I thought that we were the only daft ones here:) We are getting a Vango Kela Air Away awning for our Duetto, but maybe not until spring - so a delayed present! My wife is also making new curtains as well, and what with the new decal stripes I will be attaching, she should look very smart (the van not the wife)
I presume that the fitting we will need for the awning, is the rod and clamp system to fit in the gutter channel? There is no other fixing system attached to the van.
Seasons greetings to all
Ian

Think you will need to fit a rail of some sort. Either a c or j rail.
The pole and clamp system relies on a gutter rail of which you have none as they are covered by the brown gutter trim.
I have fitted a j rail and use a 6mm figure of eight to attach the awning.

Thanks for that. How did you fit the j rail? Was it stuck or screwed?

4mm drill bit and 5mm stainless self tappers.
I'll route out the eBay seller I use for all my stainless stuff if you like.

We have treated our Clubman to a paint job for Christmas, some rust was appearing on front pillar so windscreen had to be removed to treat it! Can't wait to get it back the driveway looks so empty!

Going to give 'Florrie' a good ACF-50 treatment before the salt. (It's an active anti corrosion treatment I have used on aircraft for years). And I fancy one of those tents, looks well good. What is the model etc please?

I gave my Bus a new alarm system for Christmas to stop him straying away from home. Deka
