Hello from Wharfedale
A warm hello from Otley
Having looked at a few forums this is thee one to be on, I have already gleaned a lot of info by just being a guest when I was still looking to buy.
My name is Rod or Rodders or Rodney (If I have done anything wrong).
I am 69 retired and recently widowed.
Having been looking for a camper/motorhome suitable for one person for the last 2 or 3 months and I can probably tell you about every camper thats for sale in Yorkshire, last week I finally found and bought a 2004 Ford Duetto 2.4 tdi Automatic with 28k on the clock .
I had a test drive of 5 or 6 miles and the first impressions to say the least is a bit weird as the last auto I drove was about 25 yrs ago and that was an estate car, this is totally different. As for the Autosleeper part in a word brilliant, although it has taken me the last 4 days to try and figure out how everything works, too much info to pack into an already overcrowded brain, but I am getting there, which is all part of the joy of ownership. This is the first Campervan/Motorhome I have owned so it is all new and a little daunting, I do have a static caravan on the East Coast so I am used to the wind and rain noises. I do tend to go on a bit so I will stop now and post this so I can go onto the Van Conversions forum to ask a question about the side sliding door.
Thanks
Rodders
