Hello From Portsmouth
I have an '04 Symbol ES and I live in Portsmouth. I am new to this forum but not a new owner. I joined to get answers to certain niggling probs.
My biggest bug bear is keeping the J channel free from gunge and moss. Water collects and I'm worried about rust. I tried removing the brown trim but was unsuccessful. And how does one stop the gunge and moss from collecting behind the roller awning.
It could only be a man behind the design, a woman would have taken cleaning aspect into consideration.

Hi elijay and welcome to the Forum
Funnily enough I took my J rail down yesterday (cos I've sold the awning that needed it) and there was loads of green gunk in it. A bit of elbow grease got it off but it was easier with it removed.
Cheers

Wow! I finished scrubbing the floor mats, washed up after cooking supper and then pointed this out to "Her Indoors".
"In your dreams . . . !" and other phrases passed her lips before she returned to Judge Judy!!
Best regards and "Welcome!"

Hello Elijo
Welcome to the forum from another Symbol . Yes do get a lot of gunge in and around the awning. toothbrush and determination, to get it off, unless you do what Stevo said and take it off to do it. You must belong to the same party as my wife, she keeps saying that
