Just thought would say hello to all before posting and asking questions. Been into Motorhomes for the last 25 years including a couple of caravans along the way when the kids were small. Perhaps I should call them campers rather than Motorhomes. Have had 3 over the years, first one was a VW T2 Devon / Eurovette conversion with lift up roof. If I still had it would be worth a fortune, well hindsight is a wonderful thing! Many trips to the West Country with the kids great for the beach. Next up was a VW T3 well technically a T25. This was a high top and also this was a syncro with 4wd conversion. Great bit of kit but unfortunately suffered 2 problems the dreaded rust and also underpowered as it was the 1600 diesel turbo version. Our present van is a T4 Autosleeper Topaz again this a syncro 4wd. Engine a little underpowered as it's the non turbo 2.4 diesel, but does the job. We've owned it for last 7 years and it's great does all we want to do and can use it as second car as not retired yet. However, with an older more specialised van you never seem to stop working on them and tipping money in. But hey, everyone's happy, wife gets her shower and toilet rather than the pull out porta potti and I get my slightly different base conversion.
