Neuvo Front Tyres
Hi All, Haven't posted for a while but have a few questions in various posts. Does anyone have an idea of average life for front tyres on a Neuvo Lanchashire 2011. It currently has Continental Camper Van tyres fitted. They have covered 12k miles and appear to be only about 3 or 4ml from wear indicators. Anyone changed tyres on one of these yet and what did you fit? Look forward to hearing sound advice as usual.

Re: Neuvo Front Tyres
Hi there,
Twelve thousand miles is a VERY short life-span for any van tyre!
At the moment the Continental Vanco 2 tyres on "Petal" have done well over 30,000 miles and they look good for quite a few more!!
There are a few reasons why your tyres can be wearing so quickly. These being:
o They were not new when fitted.
o They are counterfeit tyres.
o The tracking is out.
o The tyres are running at the wrong pressure.
o You are driving into and out of corners like a Formula One driver.
After 20,000 miles we rotated the tyres "corner to corner" on "Petal" so that they rotated in the opposite direction and to enhance even wear.
This was after we discovered that the front tracking was off and the insides of the front tyres were "scrubbing" at an accelerated rate. When the tyres were getting changed we also had the tracking sorted and since then the wear on the front tyres has been even.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,

Well they are not worn out at 12000 miles, you say you have 3 or 4 mm above the wear indicators which are at 2mm so you have 5 or 6 mm left out of 10 when new so you have used half the usable depth..so you are looking at a life of 20 to 22k .

See my recent post re tyre wear.
I am currently on 24k miles and expect to have to change my continental tyres on the front of our Broadway at 30K

Re: Neuvo Front Tyres
Thanks guys for all the advice. Certainly no problem with tracking, and very fussy about pressures, just wanted some thoughts. Not going to rotate tyres as that is against common advice now and it also means replacing all 4 at the same time when the time comes. We are touring abroad quite extensively over the next year and will need another 8k out of the fronts probably, it seems they are good for that hopefully, otherwise it will be a visit to a foreign tyre shop with a bit of pointing and arm waving
