First Camper
Hi all,
We bought a 1990 Flair at the weekend after looking around for a little while. We're happy with the van; its quite tidy considering the age but some of the features don't seem to be operational, and stumbled on this forum while looking for clues on the internet.
The fridge doesn't seem to work and the hot water and heater haven't been tested yet. It's a 2.0 petrol model which has been fitted with an LPG conversion in 2012.
Anyway, I'm sure we'll have fun with it. So, "Hi" from us and thanks for letting us join this group.
Many thanks,
Darren & Andrea

Re: First Camper
Is the fridge not working on Gas and Mains Electric ? unusual for it to be both.
In the case of Gas it could be the isolation valve has been closed which is the easiest to check.
It wont work on 12v unless the van is running - thats the way they are wired up

Hi Welcome. It sounds like a private sale,so you will have to check all systems when you can.You may have a model book.
Failing that the forum can help and we have a search function ,a bit tricky ,but many questions have been asked before.

Re: First Camper
Hi all,
Thank you for the warm welcome :). Thanks for the useful tips too.
We plan on going over the van this weekend to clean and assess it. A few sites have mentioned that removing the fridge and turning it upside down or on its side may help clearing any coolant blockages, so I may give that a go if it doesn't get cold on the alternator.
We haven't got much of a manual with the van to refer to, so any advice will be gratefully received :)
Thanks again :)

Hi Andrea & Darren
Welcome to the forum ... I've only been here for a couple of weeks and the help has been great ... sorted 2 queries already
Have you asked AutoSleepers if they have a copy of your vans manual ... here is the contact link http://www.auto-sleepers.com/contact-us ... got to be worth a try
