Morning Boaby,

6 degrees here and dry at the moment but rain is forecast for later on today (90% chance so I would say it's going to rain)

Have a nice day and stay safe and dry if your out and about.

8 degrees here, but temperature largely irrelevant. Wind picked up overnight fro  the east, now gusting at 50mph plus. Was dry when I got up at six, but rain started about 6.30, just back from supermarket and usual spots are flooding g already, with rain forecast to get heavier and ,ast into Saturday, we are in the red warning area from until noon tomorrow. Hopefully warning is over cautious and everyone locally stays safe. Schools closed today and tomorrow, plenty sandbags out in town centre, Perth have even closed their multi million pound flood gates that were left open two weeks ago while parts of city flooded

Take care and stay safe

It's been raining here but dry right now, lots more on the way for sure. Bit of shopping to do this morning but not much more. Keep safe if you're away or in the eye of the storm.

Hope you get through the storm without any setbacks BB, we know the Angus coastline, the buildings along the sea front in Stonie are exposed to the stormy weather and liable to flooding.
Stay safe BB

Back from shopping, constant blustery showers all morning until lunchtime when the sun came out and it felt quite warm. It's now clouding over again and the environment agency have extended the red weather warning to cover Dundee and Perth in addition to Angus and aberdeenshire. Keep safe BB.

Started grey with drizzle in the air this morning but after lunch we walked up to get our boosters, flue and covid, without my jacket on . The  storm that is forecast to come  is from the NE so we might feel the affects of that over the next few days.

Survived the night but only slept fitfully due to wind and rain battering on bedroom windows and dormer roof. Just had a quick check of garden, garage, summerhouse etc and all seems well. Red warning on till noon here.

Road into town and out to A90 at McDonald's both flooded and not advised so we are pretty much cut off this morning. A90 closed in both directions just north of Forfar, detour to Aberdeen Via Dundee, Perth and Inverness,  glad I didn't want to go north today.

Very serious ar Brechin with river level up by 5m, with flood defence designed for 3.8m.

Rain heading south and west later, be careful if you are in affected areas

Glad to hear you're safe BB.

Rain here now and all day, forecast 40mm so not in your league. Driving to Lincoln today weather there ditto.

Having used A90 for decades, really wouldn't fancy that diversion!!!

Good news BB, we seem to have missed the worst of the storm ........so far! There was rain and blustery winds but it's dry now. More rain is expected as the day goes on and the weather system moves further south. I feel for all those caught up in the flood areas and otherwise affected.

Keep safe folks.

We havnt ventured out yet but the high winds and rain are giving us a battering here. Being inland and away from any rivers I don’t think we will get the flooding as others father north. It’s a day for staying in and battening down the hatches until it’s calmed down.
After twenty two years of roadside breakdown work I am thankful for retirement now. If you have to be out stay safe folks.

Power back on 10.15. Several roads around Mold flooded, some houses affected. Still pouring and wind has got up.

Rain on its way but followed by more blue sky so should be in Plymouth soon. Still mild down here.
It has been a bit of a sh*t morning. Got up to do the early shop and came down to find Lady G unconscious on the floor. Checked and all the vitals seemed OK so phoned 111, what a waste of time that was. Dialled 999 and they were great but whilst on the phone she started coming round.
After a while she was much better so sat her in a chair to watch our favourite bullfinches. Sadly lone flew into the window and as I put my shoes on to rescue it a cat appeared and finished it off. Not what was needed.
Anyway she is much better now thankfully and nothing a good sleep won't cure.
Take care all those in the bad weather

A worrying time, GH, but good to hear Lady G soon recovered. Shame about the bird though.

It’s been sunny and warm here but a few clouds are appearing now.

Hope all is well with Lady G, GH. I had an almost identical experience of finding my wife unconscious earlier this year, certainly rocks you back on your heels.

Thanks for the good wishes, she is so much better this afternoon. Certainly hits you as you say Tony
So unusual she is known as the enrgizer bunny as she never stops normally.
Few light showers this afternoon but certainly not cold, forecast is for a warm and wet winter so I believe
