And a Hello from Guernsey
I'm Eric, and wife Muriel, long term AutoSleeper fans.
First with the Legend from around 1988, followed by the Medallion in 1998 which we still own. Only problem occurred this year while in France, with a little rust on the exhaust causing the "tail end" to droop. With only a dozen or so Medallions made, they are not seen around too frequently.
Now tempted to look at the Anniversary Executive - we just love the Monocoque one piece design!
Frequently visit Switzerland - Interlaken, but always surprised that we do not see more AutoSleepers on our continental travels.
Pleased to find this Forum - quite by coincidence. Has it recently evolved? I was till recently in the AutoSleeper Owners Club, but had not heard of this site through that channel.
Wishing the Forum success and a long life! ('')

Hello Eric & Muriel, welcome to the forum.
As an ex Executive owner and fan I can understand your interest in the new Executive. It certainly would have benefits for you in respect of ferry charges. There still many of the "few" Medallions around in both VW and Merc guise we were with one of each last week. I think apart from a more modern interior you would gain in the Exec you would notice it wasnt as big inside as the Medallion.
I will admit to having looked at the new Exec many times but would prefer the price to be nearer its name 50 years Anniversay, 50 (!!!) being made £50k would have been better although again last week one dealer had one up for sale at a show for 51.9k another for 54.9k windscreen prices (srp 57.9k) If you want to know who they were pm me. I am not advertising for dealers free on here

Welcome Eric
I saw an Auto-Sleeper Medallion for the first time a week or so ago, at a local campsite Woodhill Park as I drove past. The front end of the Medallion looks really big compared to similar AS vehicles, certainly big ole buses!
Guernsey must be a pretty good location for touring Europe

Re: And a Hello from Guernsey
Good place to set out from for touring Europe?
From location, possibly. But we have the most expensive waters to cross in the English Channel - maybe £300+ for a round trip.
Then the vagaries of the weather (wind/storms), and an inconsistent timetable by the ferry company - like a service in May three days a week - Fri/Sat Mon.
But once on dry land - we enjoy our time in France and Switzerland. And here again, going to Switzerland (from St Malo) is predominantly cross-country West-East, and not on the North-South motorway routes, although we do join these for parts of the journey. All makes for an interesting time travelling.
